Forensic Healthcare Intelligence · Audit-Ready Data
CareDB isn’t a directory. It is an evidence vault.
Standard aggregators scrape, modify, and overwrite records for cheap sales lists. CareDB captures raw network payloads into immutable tables, binds them with SHA-256 cryptographic proofs, and preserves complete temporal lineage. Built specifically for compliance officers, legal counsel, restructuring teams, and engineers.
In a courtroom, an inquest, or a regulatory inquiry, a modified aggregator spreadsheet is inadmissible hearsay. You cannot prove when a sanction was published if your vendor silently overwrote the previous rating. You cannot prove due diligence if your data broker "cleaned" away a critical warning flag.
CareDB operates like a black box flight recorder: we retain the exact bytes returned by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Companies House, stamp the exact observation millisecond, and prove the payload with an immutable SHA-256 cryptographic digest.
The Competitive Reality
The "Enrichment Trap": Why standard aggregators fail in court.
Legacy market aggregators optimize for marketing teams who want a clean contact list. But in high-stakes healthcare due diligence, synthetic "enrichment" destroys truth.
Fatal Flaw 01
Destructive Overwriting
When a care provider is downgraded from Good to Inadequate or suspended, standard directories overwrite the old row with an UPDATE. All historical business context is lost, making it impossible to reconstruct what was known at the transaction signing or compliance date.
Fatal Flaw 02
The "Helpful" Typo Trap
Aggregators run AI copywriters and normalization scripts that "fix" spelling mistakes or assume missing fields. In court, you cannot prove what the regulator published if your vendor altered the text. We preserve every typo verbatim as published evidence.
Fatal Flaw 03
Silent Outage Blindspots
When the CQC or Companies House API fails for two hours, standard scrapers leave a silent gap. If questioned why an enforcement was missed at 2:00 PM, an aggregator leaves you defenseless. CareDB stores cryptographic 503 outage logs proving the regulator’s endpoint was unreachable.
Fatal Flaw 04
Unverified Synthetics
Commodity directories invent proprietary scores, guess parent company groupings, and invent financial health indices. We maintain strict separation: registered legal companies do not infer ultimate ownership, and charges do not represent debt balances.
Engineering Rigor
The Fail-Closed, Append-Only Cryptographic Pipeline
Every byte received from government endpoints follows an auditable, append-only journey from network socket to analytical query.
STEP 01
Byte-Level Capture
The Python ingestion engine captures the raw network stream into BYTEA payloads before parsing, immediately calculating a SHA-256 cryptographic digest.
STEP 02
Immutable Observations
Raw payloads and digests are written to cqc_retained_source_evidence and ch_entity_source_observations. Application roles have no UPDATE or DELETE rights.
STEP 03
Temporal Projections
Entity version intervals are assigned bitemporal boundaries (valid_from and valid_to). Historical states remain permanently queryable for any UTC point in time.
STEP 04
Independent Replay
Offline audit pipelines verify projections against stored evidence digests without relying on runtime classifiers, ensuring zero data drift or synthetic leakage.
Standard aggregators mutate or "sanitize" source records. CareDB preserves raw government payloads byte-for-byte. Download the bundle containing authentic CQC and Companies House source JSON captures, audit_manifest.json, and an automated verify.sh script.

Access Certified Editions & Forensic Intelligence
CareDB provides certified, cryptographically bound snapshots, custom due-diligence extractions, and audited delta feeds for legal counsel, restructuring teams, and institutional healthcare investors.
Data Methodology: Published ratings describe regulatory assessments. Recorded charges are registered securities, not debt balances; an overdue filing alone does not establish financial distress. Missing values remain unknown, and linked legal companies do not establish ultimate group ownership.
